Ceramic coatings are the best protection you can put on your car these days. They become semi-permanantly bonded to your paint when properly applied. They are leaps and bounds stronger than waxes and sealants and last for years. You can think of them as turning your car surfaces into a tephlon pan. It makes the surfaces, especially paint, significantly easier to clean and keep clean while locking in that new looking shine.

Not all ceramics are created equal though. Now that ceramics are becoming mainstream, companies are coming out of no where with "new" and "better" ceramics. Some you can find on Amazon for $5 and others cost $200+ for a small bottle. The only ceramics we use are the ones that work and stand up to their claims. Are the $5 ceramics going to give you the same performance as a professionally installed ceramic? It is hightly unlikely! A $5 ceramic likely has 1% of the ceramic ingredients/solids a pro coating would. Will it be easy to install? Probably. Unfortunately as easy as some coatings can be, they are still nothing like traditional waxes. You can't apply a coating, leave it overnight and wipe it off in the morning like a wax. If you leave it there, it will become permanant. You also can't simply wash a car and immediately apply the coating after. Now ofcourse you can if you want, however, the results, performance, and durability will be significantly worse.

WHY YOU SHOULD NOT GET A CERAMIC COATING

• You love to go through automatic tunnel washes (especially ones that physically slap your car). These washes 110% scratch your paint. We don't care what they say or have on their signs. They are lying! If you are going to spend good money to perfect and protect your vehicle, why throw all that money away by reversing all that work after sometimes even a single visit to a tunnel wash?? You can typically get away with "touchless" automatic washes but even these should really only be used when in a pinch.
• You like to wax or use a polish yourself on weekends. We get it. You love your car but when you get a coating you don't want to apply any kind of other protection (wax/sealant) on top of it. This won't hurt the coating but you will cover up the wonderful properties of the coating and replace them with the properties of that lower grade protection. Any polishing can also remove or strip away the coating.
• You don't like to maintain your vehicle at all. If you know you simply hate the thought of washing and drying your car by hand or know you just don't ever have the time, coatings are likely not for you. Even though coatings are amazing and give awesome protection, there is no coating in existence that is "hands off" that will allow you to not maintain it and still look and perform as intended. Think of coatings as wax on steriods. Not a suit of armor that can be abused and still hold up. Now having a coating is definitely better than nothing at all so if you want a coating even if you don't plan to maintain it, your vehicle will very likely still stay looking good for much longer than if it was completely unprotected.
